Jeff's trip

Bet you thought I'd never post again. It's been a very long time, but I'm back for a spell. Here are some pics of Jeff's trip the Czech Republic. He is not here to describe them, so I will do my best. Okay, this one is some sort of elaborate building, maybe a church. Like you couldn't have deduced that for yourselves.

Next up, we have some street mimes. Fairly self-explanatory - and creepy.

Here, you see a classic, narrow, cobblestoned, European street. The archway in the back is sort of a bonus.

And, another narrow cobblestoned street. Very clean.

This seems to be some sort of tram. Jeff said the trams were everywhere, and inexpensive too. Looks like lots of people ready to hop on.

This concludes todays tour. Tune in next time for another non-exciting blog post.

visiting friends

Went to visit my friend, Sue, at her super fab new house, this week. Here is a pic of her cute courtyard. For some reason, it makes me crave a drink with an umbrella in it.

This pool is not finished yet. I repeat, this is not finished! I promised I would make that clear. It looks pretty darn good so far, so you know it will be great when it's done. Don't worry, I'll post "after" pics as soon as they become available.

Pretty kitty! (Patches)

These turtles are super swimmers.

I Love Spring

This is why I love spring. Beautiful flowers and they're FREE.

Sean holding up some sort of toy he got at school. It looks like we're in the parking lot at the dentist's office. Good times!

This rose is going crazy. Lots of flowers and good scent. You'll notice that I don't grow the tea roses. I have enough children to take care of.

This is the new peony, I just planted last year. I was expecting no blooms this spring, but was rewarded with two. This one is just starting to open. The smell is fab.

My mother was kind enough to buy me this old English rose for Mother's day. It's called Geoff Hamilton or something. Anyway, not only is it beautiful, but again, the smell is lovely. I'll be planting this tomorrow. Thanks Mom!

That is why I love spring.

Beach

Went to Ocean City over the weekend. The weather was decent for being off season. Here is a photo of Sean in the museum, on the boardwalk. I forget the name of it, but it's all about rescues at sea. That is not a real snake.

Tried to have dinner with my friend Sherry and her family. Unfortunately, little Audrey had an upset stomach. She projectile vomited in the car, and I took a picture of it to share with all you good people. Thank me later.

Here is Sean, on the boardwalk. This time, he's posing in front of a shark in a case. You can see me and Jeff reflected in the glass. How efficient.

In the pool.

Now, we are back to the museum. Don't you just love the old timey bathing costumes? I would totally wear the green and white number on the right.

Wednesday May 3rd

Here is the latest pic of the shed. The roof is on. Pity you can't see the super-cool sky light on the other side. I think the ghetto trash can in the foreground is just the right accessory.

Here is Sean doing his homework. He appears to be really bogged down.

Here is Jeff tirelessly working in the veggie patch.

Anybody need wood? I keep telling people to come and get it, but no one does. What you see is only half of our inventory.

Baseball

Here are Sean and Jeff, ready to go to one of Sean's games. Like the matching outfits? It gets better............

They are good sports for posing for me.

Tuesday, April 25th

I know, I know, it's been ages since my last posting. I've been busy.

Anyway, here is a recent pic of the shed. I think Jeff is going to shingle and install the skylight this week. We've decided to stain it a wood color instead of painting it. You can't see the window Jeff put in, because that stupid tree is blocking it, but it looks nice. I was too lazy to walk outside and take a proper picture.

Here is Sean waking up this morning. He has been sleeping in the tent Pop-pop gave him. I suppose most people are shocked that we let him do this on school nights. Should I tell him he must sleep in his bed? Where's the fun in that?

Nash's boo boo

Poor Nash fell and hit his head, at our house, on Easter night. See the lovely forehead bump?

As you can see in this picture, he remained in good spirits, and was able to do his spiderman impression with no problems.

Hope you are feeling better!!!!

Shed progress

Here is Jake, hiding behind a ladder. He was kind enough to help Jeff build.

Putting up the walls.

Somehow, by magic, the trusses are attached. This thing is bigger than it looks. The little deck on the right side will become a lean-to where the lawn mower will live.

Pet Rock

Meet Sean's new pet rock, Rover. He's a pretty good pet, doesn't get into much trouble. At left is the house he lives in.

Here are some construction pics of the new shed. Sean and Jeff worked on getting the skeleton up this morning.

One side up, 3 to go.

Sean left for an Easter egg hunt about 1pm, so Jake took over as Jeff's helper, they are putting up the siding as I type this.

Yikes, the damn rock got out, I gotta go and catch it before it runs away.

Exchange City

Friday, we went to Exchange City, in Owings Mills, as a field trip. All the kids had jobs, paychecks, breaks, insurance to pay for, donations to make, and a checkbook to balance. Sean was a popcorn maker in the Snack Shop. I heard he was a very responsible worker and citizen. I was stuck in City Hall, which was a very hectic, and loud, place to be.

This was our Defense Attorney. She was making follow-up calls to all the businesses that got fined, for failing their property inspections. Hey, we had a loan to pay off by the end of the day, we needed those fines paid.

This was the view of the city from the doorway of City Hall.

Back at the Snack Shop, Troy looks thrilled to be cleaning. Those poor kids had a LOT of cleaning to do, since we all ate our lunches in their cafe.

A view of the Broadcast Center and Post Office.

Goofing off.

Sean P. and Sean F. doing, yet more cleaning.

Back at City Hell (I mean HALL) is one of our responsible business owners, paying the mayor his fine.

Setting up for the big lunch rush.

Our Mayor. Sorry I didn't get pics of the other shops, I was actually WORKING! There were 14 places of business all together. I don't know about the kids, but I came home with a headache and in need of a drug induced sleep, which I never got.

April 3rd 2006

Some of the family came by yesterday since we had such great weather. And, make sure you're sitting down for this next bit .......THIS ONE

AND THIS ONE.......

Actually played ball in the backyard - together - no fighting!!!!!

I was SOOOOO happy.

Congregating on the stoop, since we have no patio yet. Looks like Danny is giving Sara some very serious advice.

Posing with 2 of my 5 children.

Tangles likes to help Sean workout.

Here is Oliver and the yellow tennis ball. He and Scarlet got along very well, he is a very well mannered guest.

Today is Jeff's birthday, so be sure to ring him up and say hello!
